Do you know which states have the highest termite risk!

November 17, 2014 4 Comments

9 of the 50 US states have the highest risk of termites.  As you can see in the map below, Florida is one of them!!

Even during the winter months termites stay active in the warmth of your home. If they are in outside wooden sheds they do slow down but they continue to feed. You will not typically see them swarming from December to February because they prefer the outside temperatures to be 70 degrees or above. Even when termites aren’t actively swarming trained professionals can still detect the presence of them in or around your home and do what is needed to prevent further damage to your home.

Here at Spears Pest Control we use Termidor, America’s #1 Termite Defense Product to ensure an effective treatment that kills all termites within a 3 month period from application. Contact Us or call 850-682-5354 for a free inspection of your home today!!

It’s interesting to see the states that are the most affected by terminates. The map is a great visual showing the main concern is down in the south east part of the US. Now I’m glad I don’t live anywhere near there and don’t have to worry about termites as much.

I live in Alabama, but O have a termite bond. Much cheaper than snow removal. Or a snow blower. I am from Michigsn and also lived in Wisconsin, Ohio, New York and Mississippi. Choose your poison. Each state has wonderful assets and terrible liabilities. If something hits you or your home, is is drastic. But you just enjoy your life and handle it if it happens.

      Kevin,
I see no problem with it. Just give Termidor credit for the image.
