What would you do if Termites were discovered in your home?

February 10, 2017 2 Comments

termite inspection niceville crestview flWhat would you do if you discovered wood rot on the outside of your home?  What if a pest control visit noticed initial signs of termite damage and said you had an infestation?  What would you do?  How much would it cost to fix?

The costs to rid your home of termites vary according to the method used. For example, the Termidor treatment cost for a home that is 1250 square feet can be between $750 – $2,500, while a 2500-square foot home can be between $1,500-$3,500. It depends on a variety of factors. Renewal fees can cost approximately 10-15% of the initial fee to keep it going like an insurance policy.

We have received several calls already this week alone in our Crestview, FL office about termites swarming. We would like to warn residents that termite swarm season is earlier than expected this year. Subterranean termites generally start to swarm when the weather begins to warm, and for the state of Florida, warmer temperatures are experienced earlier in the year than most other states! The following photos were taken last time this happened in Crestview, FL and the surrounding cities in the Emerald Coast as we find home after home with termites. Stop the termites before expensive damage is done to your home by calling us today at 850-682-5354 to come out and give you a free estimate on what it will take to stop them and prevent further damage.

The way homes are built in the PanHandle of FL apparently makes them attractive to Formosan termites, a fact that has led some pest control companies to exclude coverage for Formosan termites from their contracts. We at Spears Pest Control include these termites in our Termidor treatment which has a 10 yr. warranty and our termite bond. Let us know when is the best time to contact you with our online contact form and we will get back to you at your convenience. We at Spears Pest Control are committed to helping citizens of the PanHandle where we consistently provide a termite inspection service that is convenient, prompt, friendly, and professional.

We proudly service the Crestview, Baker, Defuniak Springs, Destin, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Freeport, Santa Rosa Beach, & Shalimar Florida areas and have been for over a decade.

I agree with you Mark David, according to me termites are like silent killers. Because they damage all our furniture by entering silently in to the wood and eat away all the wood. So we need to be alert in identifying this termites and make necessary steps to eradicate them.
